you know that thing lana del rey sometimes does with her voice and she sounds like adam sandler in billy madison

im like the exact opposite it sounds so boring and it doesn’t flow as well as her other stuff :(

i dunno i like how she’s let her weird grating vocal affectations take a back seat and the whole aesthetic just feels less trite than her usual output but yeah less of the weird squeaks and wails and more breathy stuff thankyou very much

ye that new lana del rey single is the best thing she’s done yet it doesnt sound as desperate as her previous stuff it bodes well im surprised tbh

thefinalimage:

Lynne Ramsey is a filmmaker interested in the fragility of grief and the quite strength of the enduring individual. In each of her three intense character studies to date, her protagonist are always seen internalizing their pain as they try to find a way to move forward after the tragedy of death. Although never pulling any punches, her final images often offer a glimmer of hope with a nascent sense of acceptance or self-forgiveness. Or, in one case, showing the relief that comes with the sweet release of death. Can you guess which one it is?
